KUALA LUMPUR: Women's doubles Pearly Tan-M. Thinaah were no match for China's world No. 1 Liu Sheng Shu-Tan Ning as they bowed out in the quarter-finals of the China Masters in Shenzhen today.
World No. 6 Pearly-Thinaah exited the Super 750 event with a 21-16, 21-17 defeat to Sheng Shu-Tan Ning in 48 minutes.
The Malaysian pair have now lost six of their nine meetings against Sheng Shu-Tan Ning.
Pearly-Thinaah will be preparing for the season-ending World Tour Finals (WTF) where the top seven combinations on the World Tour and Paris Olympics champions Chen Qing Chen-Jia Yi Fan will do battle in Hangzhou on Dec 11-15.
