I WAS warded at National Heart Institute (IJN) in Kuala Lumpur for a week last month. This was the second time I was warded here. The first was in 2012.
I felt honoured and privileged to be a patient at IJN. During both times that I was warded, I was given my own room as I am a Division 1 government servant.
I must say that everything about IJN is excellent. All the staff are courteous and polite.
Each time I was at IJN for a check-up, I left feeling satisfied that I could be a part of this excellent medical institution.
I have undergone tests at IJN and the staff are kind and gentle. Everyone had a smile. I have been to many private hospitals but the service rendered does not come close to what I received at IJN.
Because the nurses and other staff provided excellent care during both times I was warded, I felt like I was staying in a nice hotel.
I didn’t even feel like I was in a hospital because the service was top class.
Furthermore, IJN is clean and well-maintained.
I have been to the Emergency Department several times as I suffer from unstable angina and the staff ensured that I was given the best care and treatment.
I would like to extend my gratitude to Dr Koay from the Emergency Department, Dr Hafidz, Dr Ng Yau Piow and Datuk Balachandran.
Each of them had taken the time and effort to ensure that I was given the most accurate treatment and diagnosis. Special thanks to Dr Koay for being thorough in assessing my condition before admitting me.
The work that the IJN staff do is beyond commendable.
Thank you for all that you have done for me and all your patients over the years.
IJN will always have a special place in my heart.
