SEREMBAN: An unemployed man today pleaded guilty at the Sessions Court here over two charges of raping his 11-year-old sister-in-law.
The 35-year-old accused made the plea when the interpreter read out the charge against him in front of Judge N Kanageswari.
The accused allegedly raped the minor at a house in Port Dickson, near here, on Sept 1 and Nov 23 this year.
Accused could be jailed for a term not less than five years and maximum 30 years and shall also be liable to whipping if convicted under Section 376 of the Penal Code.
Deputy Public Prosecutor Raya Wan Noora Nisa Ngadirin prosecuted while the accused was unpresented.
The court fixed Dec 30 to deliver judgment.
It was reported that the accused has raped his sister-in-law and made his underage wife capture the entire episode on a video camera.
A source told the tabloid that the recording was then copied to VCDs by the man who sold it to his friends for a quick buck.
The source said the matter came to light when the recording was circulated through WhatsApp.
It somehow found its way to the victim’s father who had the shock of his life seeing his daughter and son-in-law in the video.
After queried his daughter, the man took her daughter to lodge police report at the Port Dickson police station.
