KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia has no issue with the presence of a United States P-8 Poseidon spy plane which is currently in Singapore.
Defence Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein said Malaysia did not have any problems with Singapore's decision to allow the aircraft into the republic.
"We have no issue with it. This is because any intelligence gathered on the matter will be shared with Malaysia," he told reporters at the Putra World Trade Centre today.
Hishammuddin said Malaysia previously didn't permit the Poseidon to be deployed here as Malaysia would nevertheless be able to obtain information on the matter regardless of where the aircraft was stationed.
