It will be open from 8am to 5pm.
Sabah is one of the states that promotes the protection of sharks and the banning of shark fishing following a dramatic decline in the shark population within the state’s waters, particularly in Semporna.
Recently, it was highlighted that sharks were being captured and finned on Pulau Mabul. The incident shocked many tourists and scuba divers who witnessed it.
Sabah Shark Protection Association (SSPA) president Aderick Chong stressed shark fishing needed to stop immediately, claiming fresh shark meat and dried shark fins were still traded openly in wet markets and shops throughout the state.
