KUALA LUMPUR: Some of Asia's most prolific performers joined local songstress Datuk Siti Nurhaliza at her 20th anniversary concert to give Malaysian fans a memorable concert experience tonight.
Held at Stadium Negara, the Datuk Siti Nurhaliza & Friends Concert which began close to 9pm saw Siti performing hits alongside local stars Jaclyn Victor, Faizal Tahir, Hafiz Suip, Joe Flizzow and SonaOne, as well as Indonesian singers Anggun, Afgan and Cakra Khan.
"They're my friends, and I'm sure you would like to see them perform as well," said Siti as she addressed the screaming crowd.
The first act was an acoustic show, in which Siti performed her songs like Aku Cinta Padamu, Percayalah and Jaga Dia Untukku.
In the second act, Siti sang with Anggun her hit Bukan Cinta Biasa, and the latter's song Snow On The Sahara. Siti also sang a medley of her songs with Joe Flizzow and SonaOne.
Siti paid tribute to the American music legend and her idol Whitney Houston in the third act, by singing the latter's 1982 song Memories in a "duet" with the late singer.
Siti also performed duets with Hafiz, Cakra Khan, Faizal and Afgan for the songs Muara Hati, Seluruh Cinta, Bagaikan Sakti and Biarlah Rahsia, respectively.
The artistes were backed by a 40-piece orchestra, and New York sessionist band Gotham All Stars.
Today marked Siti's 20th year in the music industry. "I'm excited because to have my fans here to celebrate my music career," she gushed.
