SALAK TINGGI: Some 416 staff of Rayani Air threatened legal action against chief executive officer Ravi Alagendrran and his wife Karthiyani Govindan if their salaries are not paid by Tuesday next week.
Rayani Air Station Manager Zulkalnain Azdan claimed airline management had failed to pay the staff's March salary.
He said the staff had also recently found out that their Employees Provident Fund (EPF) and Socso deductions totalling RM900,000 were not paid to the respective organisations since last September.
"We were shocked to learn that the amount was deducted from our salaries but it was not paid to EPF and Socso since the company was established in September last year," he claimed.
Zulkalnain said efforts to get in touch with Ravi and his wife were not fruitful as the duo failed to answer their calls.
Multiple police reports have been lodged on the matter but no action has been taken so far, he claimed.
Previously, Ravi accepted a three-month suspension by the Department of Civil Aviation after the company ran into problems.
Ravi admitted that the airline faced financial difficulties which had then affected operations.
