KUALA LUMPUR: These are exciting days for Malaysian football with the Regent of Johor Tunku Mahkota Ismail Sultan Ibrahim leading the way.
After discussing Malaysia's national team project with Fifa president, Gianni Infantino, in Doha, Qatar, on Tuesday, Tunku Ismail also met with Qatar Sport Investment Chairman and Paris Saint-Germain President Nasser Al-Khelaifi today.
And after the meeting with Al-Khelaifi, the Regent of Johor said that something big is coming (to Malaysian football).
"It was a pleasure meeting Qatar Sport Investment Chairman and Paris Saint-Germain President Nasser Al-Khelaifi. Something big is coming soon. Something we have never done before. Alhamdulillah," posted Tunku Ismail on HRH Crown Prince of Johor Facebook page.
Tunku Ismail, the owner of Johor Darul Ta'zim, has been working on raising the image of his club and Malaysian football, and his meeting with Al-Khelaifi hints of an upcoming partnership.
