PUTRAJAYA: A 33-year-old Malaysian, Mohd Azhar Abdull Wahab, was found dead in a hotel room in Ho Chi Minh City yesterday.
In a statement today, the Foreign Ministry said Ho Chi Minh City police are still investigating the cause of death.
The Ministry said the Malaysian Consulate General was informed by the Ho Chi Minh City External Relations Department about the death.
“Upon receiving the information, the Consulate General promptly contacted the family of the deceased and conveyed the news.
“Consulate General officers are communicating with the family of the deceased to render assistance and support,” the statement said.
The Ministry extended its deepest condolences to the family of the deceased
