Drug pushers nabbed with RM21k worth of stimulant pills, syabu

BESUT: An anti-narcotics operation netted two suspected drug pushers and saw the seizure of more than RM21,000 worth of stimulant pills in Kampung Chawat here, two days ago.

Acting on a tip-off, police had raided an outlet selling chickens at 1.15pm, and arrested the two men. The suspects, aged between 24 and 34, were believed to have used the outlet as a cover for their illicit activities.

District police chief Superintendent Mohd Zamri Mohd Rowi said police seized 1,286 stimulant pills and syabu, worth a total of RM21,285 from them.

"They were brought to the police station for further investigation under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drug Act 1952 for drug trafficking," he told reporters yesterday.

They have been remanded for a week starting yesterday.
