KOTA BARU: The Kelantan government has declared a special event holiday for Sept 11 in conjunction with “Hari Wukuf” (Day of Wukuf or the grand assembly).
The holiday is to enable Muslims to undergo the “puasa sunat” fast and prepare for Aidiladha, Menteri Besar Datuk Ahmad Yakob said today.
He said Aidiladha was anticipated to fall on Monday Sept 12.
Sept 12 and 13 are public holidays in Kelantan.
“We have declared Sunday, Sept 11 as a special event holiday,” he told reporters after chairing a meeting of the state executive council at the Kota Darul Naim Complex here. --BERNAMA
