KUALA LUMPUR: World No 1 Lee Chong Wei failed to make the men's singles semi-finals of the Denmark Open in Odense yesterday.
The 34 year-old, who struggled in the opening rounds, lost 21-17, 20-22, 21-19 to 38th-ranked Brice Leverdez in the quarter-finals.
In the men's doubles, fourth seeds Goh V Shem-Tan Wee Kiong carved out a 21-18, 25-23 win over China's Li Junhui-Liu Yuchen to make the semi-finals.
They play second seeds Mathias Boe-Carsten Mogensen for a spot in the final later today.
