KUALA LUMPUR: The Huawei Customer Solution Integration and Innovation Experience Centre (CSIC) was today launched by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak, inching the country closer to Malaysia's aspirations of becoming a regional Information Communication and Technology (ICT) hub.
Located at Integra Tower, The Intermark, here, it was designed as an ICT hub and centre of excellence to drive the industry's open ecosystem and accelerate digital economy transformation in Malaysia.
Covering a massive 13,000 square feet, CSIC aggregates over 120 reference applications and services globally.
Huawei's customers and partners are able to leverage this innovative platform to design and test technology solutions, verify new business models, and nurture innovation applications and services to both the public and private sectors.
Huawei Malaysia chief executive officer Abrahim Liu said through CSIC, they would continue to bring global experiences to the Malaysian context, serving more needs of the ICT industry and help more stakeholders succeed in the business.
"As we are working towards making Malaysia's aspirations of becoming an ICT regional hub a reality, we need to continue moving forward with digital transformation, and explore new innovative ideas for local enterprises, industries and operators."
Also present at the event was Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh, in collaboration with Huawei, to select 300 local public universities and polytechnic students for the opportunity to attend programmes and workshops held at CSIC annually.
