IPOH: The birthday of the Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah, would be celebrated on Nov 4, this year.
The announcement was made by the State Secretary Datuk Seri Abdul Puhat Mat Nayan in a statement today.
Abdul Puhat explained that Sultan Nazrin, has stated at the 164th state assembly meeting on Nov 20 last year, that his birthday would be celebrated on the first Friday in the month of Nov, beginning this year.
“This matter has been dealt with during the proclamation of state public holidays 2016, through the Government Gazette notification number 3653 dated Dec 31, 2015,” he said.
The statement was issued following the confusion among the public where some calendars have marked Nov 27 as a public holiday in conjunction with the birthday of the Sultan of Perak.
