Raja Mohamed Affandi to take over from Zulkifeli as Armed Forces chief on Dec 16

LUMUT: The Army chief General Tan Sri Raja Mohamed Affandi Raja Mohamed Noor has been appointed as the new Armed Forces chief, replacing Tan Sri Zulkifeli Mohd Zin

Raja Affendi’s appointment takes effect from Dec 16.

Zulkifeli who will be retiring on Dec 16 was celebrated at the Appreciation Parade of Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) here today.

The parade, which began at 7.30am, involved the participation of hundreds of officers from 12 contingents and was led by Commander Azmin Zar Abd Rashid.

Also present was Navy chief Admiral Datuk Seri Ahmad Kamarulzaman Ahmad Badaruddin.

Zulkifeli had served in the army for 44 years and held the post of commander of the Armed Forces since June 2011.
