Amazon Prime Video now available for Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: Move over Netflix and iFlix, it looks like you’ve got company.

Amazon today announced that Amazon Prime Video is now available to customers in more than 200 countries and territories around the globe.

It is understood that Malaysia is one of the listed countries.

In a statement issued here today, Amazon said customers could sign up for a Prime Video membership at PrimeVideo.com and watch on Android and iOS phones and tablets, Fire Tablets, and LG, Samsung smart televisions.

"Members can download all movies and television shows for offline viewing, that means watching on a plane or train and anywhere at no additional cost.

"They also can enjoy popular new original series like 'The Grand Tour' from Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May," the statement said.

Prime Video members are able to control how much data they use when streaming and downloading video by choosing between 'good, better and best' visual quality setting too.

It said members in Belgium, Canada, France, India, Italy and Spain could start watching today at no additional cost to their Prime membership while customers in other territories could sign up at an introductory price of US$ 2.99 per month for the first six months. --BERNAMA
