Malaysian player 'MidOne' is now second best Dota2 competitor in Europe

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian e-sports athlete Yeik Nai Zheng, better known as MidOne among fans of Dota2, is now ranked the second best player in Europe.

MidOne currently has a match-making rating (MMR) of 9,082 points, thus making him the first Malaysian to achieve such a lofty ranking in foreign charts.

However, Amer Barkawi (Miracle-) from Jordan remains in top spot in the standings with 9,148 points. In third place is South Korean player Forev with 8,930 points.

The rankings were derived from the Dota 2 leaderboards, which updates the chart on each player's MMR position daily.

Midone was previously playing for Malaysian-based team Fnatic before deciding to leave the team, following the conclusion of the world famous Dota 2 tournament, The International in 2016.

Playing a solo middle role, MidOne, in April 2016, became the first player to hit 8,000 MMR on Southeast Asian servers.

He is now a member of Team Secret, an e-sports team based in Europe.
