GEORGE TOWN: The remains of a woman and a teenage girl were found slumped on a Teluk Bahang beach in front of the Tropical Spice Garden here this evening.
The bodies, tied together with a string, were discovered by a horrified passer-by at about 6pm.
Southwest district police chief Superintendent Anuar Omar confirmed the discovery.
He said the police believed that the woman, suspected to be in her 30s and the teenage girl were related.
“For now, we have yet to identify the two victims.
“We did not find any of their belongings at the beach,” he said.
Both bodies have since been sent to the Balik Pulau Hospital for a post-mortem.
“Investigation is currently underway. We will provide more details in due time,” Anuar added.
