(Showbiz) '7 Hari Mencintaimu' bags six honours at DFKL awards

PUTRAJAYA: TV3's hit drama series '7 Hari Mencintaimu' was the big winner at last night's Anugerah Drama Festival KL 2017, grabbing a total of six awards.

The series took home the honours for Choice Drama, Choice Actor (Shukri Yahaya), Choice Director (Jamal Khan), Choice Script (PGRs Team), Choice Couple (Shukri Yahaya and Siti Saleha) and Choice Theme Song ('Lelaki Teragung' by Dayang Nurfaizah).

Aired between Nov 7 to Dec 22 last year, '7 Hari Mencintaimu', produced by Pena Creative Pictures, became TV3's most-watched drama series to date, reaching 12 million viewers.

"While making the series, we didn't expect it to become such a huge success," actress Siti Saleha said in an interview after the awards event.

"Still, the synergy between the cast and crew was magnificent. Filming went smoothly without any mishap so I think this was the result of a great collaboration," she added.

Other award winners include Mira Filzah (Choice Actress for 'Cinta Si Wedding Planner'), Izzue Islam (Choice Antagonist for 'Patahnya Sebelah Sayap') and Zeel Production (Choice Tonton VIP for 'Meh Sandar Pada Aku').

Meanwhile, the short drama 'Kongsi Kalau Malu', an idea conceived by Mohamed Shafie Syed Mohamed, Syalikh Nazrul and Ridhwan Uvaise, won the top prize of RM10,000.

Held at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre, the fans' choice award which is in its fourth year, celebrates the works of local amateur and professional directors, scriptwriters, cinematographers, composers and actors.

Carrying the theme #CeritaKita, Anugerah DFKL 2017 was hosted by Kool FM announcer AG, and actresses Rita Rudaini and Sherry Alhadad.

The evening performances were from Dayang Nurfaizah, Elyana and Aiman Tino, among others.
