SHAH ALAM: Two Indonesian women are being sought by police to appear as witnesses in the murder trial of Kim Jong-nam, half-brother of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, at the Shah Alam High Court.
The women have been identified as Raisa Rinda Salma, 24 and Dessy Meyrisinta, 33, whose last-known address was the Flamingo Hotel in Ampang.
Both women are currently “uncontactable.”
In a statement released here today, Selangor Criminal Investigation Department (CID) chief Fadzil Ahmat urged those with information on the two women to contact senior investigating officer Assistant Superintendent Wan Azirul Nizam from the Sepang CID district police headquarters at 017-655 6575.
On Aug 16, the High Court ordered Indonesian Siti Aisyah and Vietnamese Doan Thi Huong to enter their defence on a charge of murdering Kim, 45, at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (klia2) last year.
In his ruling, judge Datuk Azmi Ariffin said the prosecution had succeeded in establishing a prima facie case against Siti Aisyah, 26, and Doan, 29.
The court fixed Nov 1, 5, 7, 8, 12, and 13 and between Dec 12 and 14 as the dates for Siti Aisyah to defend herself; while Doan will defend herself on Jan 7 and 10, Jan 28 to 31 and between Feb 18 and 20 next year.
Siti Aisyah and Doan were charged, with four others still at large, with the Feb 13, 2017 murder.
