PETALING JAYA: Singer and composer Muhammad Yasin Sulaiman was brought to the Court Complex here this morning to face drug charges.
He was detained on suspicion of being in possession of ganja plants at a condominium in Kota Damansara recently.
The 47-year-old arrived at the court complex at about 10pm escorted by policemen.
In a video recording, the singer, wearing a face mask, could be heard saying, "Sampaikan salam pada YB Syed Saddiq..." (Send my regards to YB Syed Saddiq).
He faces charges under Section 39B and 6B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
It was previously reported that he had been detained following a raid conducted by police at his condominium unit.
During the raid, cops found 17 plants suspected to be ganja in a room, balcony and closet.
