PASIR PUTEH: A body of a man was found floating in Kuala Tok Bali here recently.
However, no identification document was found with the body when it was discovered by villagers on Thursday night.
District police chief Superintendent Zaizul Rizal Zakaria said police received a report from the villagers about the body at 11.45pm.
"Following the report, a police party was deployed to the scene.
"The body was later sent to Tengku Anis Hospital here for a post-mortem."
Zaizul Rizal said the post-mortem results showed no signs of criminal elements.
"Police believe the victim was a local man in his 30s," he said.
The police classified the case as sudden death and urged those with information to contact any district police station.
