Body of man found floating off Port Dickson 

PORT DICKSON: The Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) of Melaka and Negri Sembilan confirmed the discovery of a floating body in the waters around Port Dickson yesterday.

Its director, Maritime Captain Mohd Khairi Abd Aziz said an angler spotted the body at around 5.10 pm.

Following the report, a Perkasa 37 boat arrived at the location at 5.51 pm.

"The officers then found the body of a man wearing long pants at a position 2.2 nautical miles southwest of Tanjung Tuan.

"The unidentified body was then brought to the Melaka and Negri Sembilan Maritime Jetty to be handed over to the police for further investigation," he said.

Khairi urged anyone with information or who has lost a family member to contact  them at 06-3876730.

"Any information concerning crime or emergencies at sea can be reported directly to us at the Melaka and Negri Sembilan Maritime Operations Centre or the 24-hour hotline at 999," he said.
