Headmaster robbed of RM109,000 financial aid for students

KAJANG: A 50-year-old school headmaster was robbed of RM109,000 cash he withdrew and kept in his car, which was meant for financial aid for the students in his school.

Kajang district police chief assistant commissioner Mohd Zaid Hassan said the victim withdrew the cash aid at a bank counter and left it inside his parked car, before going to get a drink at Kampung Baru Semenyih, yesterday.

"When he returned to his car 10 minutes later, he noticed the rear passenger's window was broken and the money was missing," he said, referring to the 12.17pm robbery.

Zaid said based on the preliminary investigation, the victim had gone to the bank alone and kept the money safely inside a bag, which he later left on the passenger's seat.

"The case is being investigated under Section 379 of the Penal Code for robbery. Eyewitness or anyone with information on the case, have been urged to call the investigating officer, Inspector Ahmad Rahmat Adnan at 014-5156933" he said.
