KUALA LUMPUR: Three men were charged at the magistrate's court today with murdering a man in a 2021 Bangsar brawl.
G. Naresh, 27, V. Pravin, 28, and S. Letchumanan, 30, did not enter a plea to the charge under Section 302 of the Penal Code, as murders are tried at the High Court.
Another two men still at large, Syed Kamal Syed Mohamad and S. C. Magesan, were also charged alongside the unemployed trio.
Pravin and Letchumanan were represented by lawyers Datuk Geethan Ram Vincent and Lavinia Raja, respectively, and Naresh was unrepresented.
The prosecution was done by deputy public prosecutor Sareeka Balakrishnan.
The court fixed June 14 for mention.
About 1am on March 31, 2021, M. Sanjeet Kumar, who was 28 at the time, and a companion were attacked by a group of armed men while they were on their way to a parking area in the alley behind Affin Bank at Jalan Telawi 3, Bangsar, here. Sanjeet Kumar was pronounced dead upon arriving at hospital and his companion was badly injured.
