KUALA LUMPUR: The police today confirmed they have received the red notice application against the former prime minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin's son-in-law.
The matter was confirmed by Inspector-General of Police, Tan Sri Razarudin Husain who said they have received the application request verbally from the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).
"God willing (Insha Allah), it (the official red notice application) will be sent to us soon.
"It (the red notice application) has only been verbal so far. However, we will work on the information we received for further action (to be taken)," he told a press conference after the handing-over ceremony of the new Criminal Investigation Department (CID) director at Bukit Aman Integrity and Standards Compliance Department (JIPS) today.
Present was Deputy Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay.
Previously, MACC chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki said the graft buster will seek Interpol's help in tracking down two individuals suspected of fleeing the country.
The individuals, Muhyiddin's son-in-law, Datuk Muhammad Adlan Berhan, 48 and lawyer Mansor Saat, 69, are being investigated by the MACC in relation to misappropriation in the registration, recruitment and biometric storage of foreign workers in a ministry.
