SHAH ALAM: A lorry driver bawled his heart out in court today as he was being remanded for allegedly pushing his Thai girlfriend to her death from a condominium in Setia Alam yesterday.
Shah Alam police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim said his men applied for the remand order before magistrate Farah Rosnan.
"The magistrate granted a seven-day remand from today until March 6," he said.
Iqbal said the deceased, a 32-year-old Thai national, and the suspect were said to be in a relationship.
He said witnesses heard the couple arguing and saw the deceased being pushed from the 23rd floor.
They said she landed on the seventh floor.
"We received a report on the incident at 10.02pm yesterday.
"At 10.10pm, we arrested the suspect, who has seven criminal records and one drug record.
"He tested positive for cannibis."
Iqbal said investigations were conducted under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
