Legal reps prepare for closed-door proceedings in Zayn Rayyan case [WATCH]

PETALING JAYA: Counsels Fahmi Abd Moin and Mahmud Jumaat, who are representing the parents of murdered autistic boy, Zayn Rayyan Abdul Matiin, 6, have arrived at the court complex here.

They were seen entering the complex minutes apart from each other at around 11.15am.

Counsel Fahmi Abd Moin said he was informed at 9am that his clients were brought to the complex.

"I was told to be present today. I cannot give any comments until the proceedings today conclude," he said briefly before entering the complex with Zayn Rayyan's grandfather Zahari Mohd Reba.

The boy's parents are believed to have arrived at the complex around 10.30am for a closed-door proceeding.

Over 30 media personnel who have gathered at the complex since 7.30am have been allowed to enter the compound but restricted to the outer front lobby.

The boy's parents have been under remand for murder investigations since June 1 following their arrests the day before at their family home in Puncak Alam.

The magistrate's court had granted the initial seven-day remand order on June 1 and its further six-day extension to enable investigations.

The remand extension expires tomorrow (June 13).
