KUALA LUMPUR: Forensic pathologists have completed a more than three-hour post mortem on Nur Farah Kartini Abdullah's remains today but its results have yet to be released.
Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said the post-mortem began at 3pm at the Sungai Buloh Hospital.
"This is in relation to the discovery of one woman's body on July 15, 2024 at a palm oil plantation in Kampung Sri Kledang, Hulu Selangor.
"The post-mortem process was held today on July 16, 2024 by Sungai Buloh Hospital forensic pathologist specialists from 3pm to 5.30pm and the results are pending laboratory investigation.
"The case led to the arrest of a suspect who is policeman attached to the Perak contingent. The suspect was remanded today for seven days," Hussein said in a statement.
He said as police were still investigating the case, they urged any witnesses to the incident to go to their nearest police station to assist in the probe.
"The public are advised against making any speculation regarding the case and to not spread any photo or matter that could disrupt the investigation," he said.
Nur Farah Kartini, 25, who had been reported missing after allegedly delivering a rental car last Wednesday, was found dead near Felda Gedangsa in Hulu Selangor yesterday.
Her body was discovered about 6pm, believed to be murdered by a known assailant.
