BAYAN LEPAS: Police are looking for a man to assist investigations into the murder of a foreign woman yesterday.
The suspect has been identified as 34-year-old Myanmar citizen, Khin Mg Myo.
Southwest district police chief Superintendent Kamarul Rizal Jenal said at about 9.50pm yesterday, police received information of a bloodied woman, in an unconscious state, in the Taman Indah Flats in Batu Maung here.
"Investigation revealed the woman, believed to be a foreigner, in her 30s, was sprawled in the corridor of level three of the flats.
"Initial investigation found the victim's body with stab wounds on her neck, chest and legs, believed to be caused by a sharp object," he said.
The case is being probed under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
Kamarul said efforts are underway to track down the suspect.
