Italian man arrested for shoplifting at KLIA Watsons

KUALA LUMPUR: Police have detained a foreign national for shoplifting at a Watsons store located in KLIA Terminal 2.

KLIA police chief ACP Azman Shari'at said that the suspect, a 58-year-old Italian man, was captured on CCTV footage around 5.20pm on Aug 19.

The footage revealed him taking a box of Fluimucil and a box of Gaviscon without paying.

An employee noticed the theft during a review of the CCTV footage and promptly alerted the store manager, who then instructed them to file a police report.

They recovered the stolen items, valued at RM75.42, along with a grey bag.

The suspect has been remanded for three days, from August 20 to 23, while the investigation continues.
