KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) will investigate 20 state government projects linked to the ongoing Selangor Menteri Besar Incorporated (MBI) graft scandal.
"We will investigate 20 projects for which we have received information suggesting elements of graft, but I cannot name those projects," said MACC chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki to the press today.
He also confirmed that none of the projects are linked to current Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari.
Yesterday, the MACC raided six more premises in connection with its probe involving Selangor MBI ()
Azam revealed another RM600,000 was seized, suspected to be linked to an 'influential politician'.
Yesterday's (Oct 16) raid followed an investigation into a multi-million ringgit corruption scandal involving sand mining concessions linked to Selangor MBI.
Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari's press secretary Jay Jay Denis has since said that Selangor MBI will extend its full cooperation to the authorities on their investigation.
