FashionValet probe: Vivy, husband to be charged on Thursday [WATCH]

KUALA LUMPUR: FashionValet founders Datin Vivy Yusof and her husband, Datuk Fadzaruddin Shah Anuar, will be charged at the Special Corruption Court on Thursday, said Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki.

This follows the RM43.9 million loss incurred by Khazanah Nasional Bhd (Khazanah) and Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB) from their investments in the fashion e-commerce platform.

"I can confirm that the couple will face charges at the Special Corruption Court at Kuala Lumpur on Thursday," said Azam when contacted.

On Nov 28, Azam said the agency concluded its investigation into FashionValet and the investigation papers have been forwarded to its Legal and Prosecution Division for review and further action.

On Nov 2, Azam confirmed that MACC had launched a probe into the RM43.9 million investment loss incurred by Khazanah and PNB in FashionValet.

On Nov 1, the couple said they would relinquish their positions in FashionValet.

In 2018, Khazanah invested RM27 million and PNB RM20 million for minority stakes in FashionValet.

These stakes were sold for just RM3.1 million.
