KUALA LUMPUR: After three weeks of declining prices, petrol prices will see an increase for the third week of May.
RON95 and RON97 will see a 7 sen increase to RM2.08 per litre and RM2.36 per litre, respectively.
The prices, which are for the period of May 18 t0 24, will come into force at midnight.
The new prices were announced by the Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Ministry’s via its Twitter account today.
Fuel prices are now announced on a weekly basis based on the new pricing mechanism. A managed monthly float system was previously in place since December 2014, after fuel subsidies were removed.
