Southwest monsoon season begins, bringing less rainfall - Meteorological Dept

KUALA LUMPUR: The Southwest monsoon season has begun today, and is expected to continue until September, according to the Meteorological Department.

The department said the country would likely receive less rainfall during that period especially in the Peninsular Malaysia and Sarawak.

“The number of days without rain will outnumber rainy days except in Sabah as it will receive more rainfall than other states,” it said in a statement today.
