Hundreds of people gathered at the complex to welcome the prime minister home. Some were seen holding banners and placards expressing their support for Najib.
Also present were Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and several Cabinet ministers.
The prime minister had a high-level meeting with United States President Donald Trump at the White House and senior officers from the US administration.
The prime minister had described his US visit as a huge success, with several highlights from his meeting with Trump including discussing the need to end the violence against the Rohingya people in Myanmar; issues related to North Korea, the Middle East and South China Sea, and combating terrorism.
On his way back from the US, the prime minister also made a stopover at the United Kingdom for his meeting with British Prime Minister Theresa May.
Najib had been quoted as saying that Malaysia looked forward to discussing setting up a trade arrangement with the UK as soon as possible.
Apart from boosting trade ties, Najib said Malaysia and the UK had also agreed to join forces to fight terrorism. The two leaders had also deliberated on the humanitarian crisis faced by the Rohingya in Myanmar.
