Man struck, killed by ETS train in Damansara

KUALA LUMPUR: A man was struck and killed by an ETS train in Damansara, Petaling Jaya on Friday night.

The incident occurred at 11.52pm at Km375.4 while the train was en route from Batu Gajah to KL Sentral.

The deceased is believed to have been in his 30s.

It is understood that the train was brought to a halt following its collision with the man. The train captain alighted the coach to inspect the track and discovered the unidentified man, who had severe head injuries.

“(The man) was pronounced dead by a paramedic team at 1.45pm.

“(No) personal documents or a smartphone was found at the scene,” said Petaling Jaya police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Zani Che Din.

The body was sent to the Selayang Hospital for a post-mortem, and police have classified the case as sudden death.
