KUALA LUMPUR: Rapid Penang has resumed its stage bus operations on the island and at the mainland.
Its spokesperson said of the 56 routes, only 14 routes are yet to be operational.
“The 14 routes are; 10, 101, 102, 104, 201, 202, 203, 204, 206, 304, 306, 501 and 502, all on the island, and 707 on the mainland.”
Early this morning, bus servicec provider has temporarily ceased its operation following floods in the state.
“Delays are expected at the affected routes as cleaning works are still on-going. We apologies for any inconvenience caused.”
A continuous heavy downpour lasting 17 hours and heavy winds since 12.30pm yesterday have paralysed Georgetown and Seberang Prai, in addition to triggering landslides and uprooting trees, as well as creating unusually heavy traffic due to impassable roads.
