KUALA LUMPUR: The Hong Kong Live travel fair at Suria KLCC here from tomorrow to Nov 12 will give Malaysians a taste of what they can expect in planning their next holiday in the Chinese autonomous territory.
The Hong Kong Tourism Board has spared no effort in bringing a virtual interactive experience of its famous attractions — the Big Bus Hong Kong, the Duckling, Hong Kong Disneyland, Madame Tussauds, Ngong Ping 360, Ocean Park and the Sky100 Observatoon Deck — to the fair.
Celebrity family Awal Ashaari, Scha Al Yahya and their daughter Lara Alana will also be on hand to share their experiences traveling in Hong Kong.
Awal and Scha will give visitors insights on how to make the most out of their trip to Hong Kong and the areas that can be explored.
Social influencer Ann Qi will also be holding a talk on her favourite Hong Kong hangouts and places of interest.
In a statement, the Hong Kong Tourism Board stressed that Muslims can visit the city with the confidence of knowing that as Asia's World City, Hong Kong has an array of halal-certified restaurants as well as mosques and madrasahs to serve their needs.
To help with their journey, the board will also provide Muslim visitors with the Warna-Warni Hong Kong travel guide book with all the information they need to ensure a smooth visit.
Those who opt to download the e-guidebook, however, will receive a limited edition Muslim Travel Kit courtesy of the board.
The Giant LT Duck will also be on hand for visitors to take selfies with, while they enjoy a floral display by award-winning designer Dr Solomon Leong.
Those who purchase AirAsia tickets to Hong Kong stand to win 50,000 AirAsia Big points every day, simply by posting pictures taken at the event on Facebook or Instagram with the hashtag #DiscoverHongKong to join the contest.
