KUANTAN: State executive councillor Datuk Seri Shahiruddin Ab Moin is recovering from head and neck pain at a hospital in London, the United Kingdom.
His colleague Datuk Seri Mohd Sharkar Shamsudin said Shahiruddin was recuperating at Charing Cross Hospital after he was admitted on Sunday.
"He (Shahiruddin) continues to get well and can speak and eat today. The doctor has advised him to rest.
"We hope that he recovers fast and regains his health," said Sharkar when contacted today.
Shahiruddin, who is Cooperatives, Entrepreneurship, and Consumerism Committee chairman, had reportedly fainted and taken to the hospital for treatment.
He and Sharkar, who is state Tourism and Culture Committee chairman, went to the UK to attend an event called World Travel Mart, last Thursday.
They were part of a delegation headed by Tourism and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz.
