SEPANG: One of the two aerotrains at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) resumes service at 11.22am today following its disruption to allow yesterday's emergency maintenance works.
Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB) said the second train is still undergoing urgent corrective maintenance works.
"In the meantime, please do use our bussing services as we have 17 busses and three vans running continuously to ensure a smooth and quick journey for you.
"We are expecting passenger movements of more than 90,000 daily at KLIA during this peak travelling season. Therefore, please be at the airport early to avoid unnecessary delays.
" We appreciate your kind patience and we wish you happy holidays," MAHB said in a statement.
Checks at the KLIA revealed operations are without hiccups as of now.
It was reported that the aerotrains services at the KLIA had to be retracted to allow emergency maintenance works to be performed after a heavy usage between 8am to 8pm yesterday.
It said KLIA handled a high volume of passenger movements from 8am to 8pm, whereby the trains had moved about 95,000 passengers during that period.
The disrupted train service had caused a delay in travel as hundreds of passengers wait for buses to transport them between the main terminal building and the satellite building.
