Kedah Sultan heads honours list of Negri Sembilan Ruler

SEREMBAN: The Sultan of Kedah, Sultan Sallehuddin Sultan Badlishah will lead the list of 693 recipients of Negri Sembilan state awards and medals to be conferred in conjunction with the 70th birthday of the Yang Dipertuan Besar Negri Sembilan, Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir, today.

Sultan Sallehuddin will be conferred the Darjah Kerabat Negri Sembilan at the investiture which will be held at the Istana Besar, Seri Menanti, Kuala Pilah.

Tuanku Muhriz’s second son, Tunku Zain Al-Abidin will receive the Darjah Seri Setia Tuanku Muhriz Yang Amat Terbilang (SSTM), which carries the title ‘Datuk Seri’.

State Legislative Assembly (DUN) Yang di-Pertua Datuk Dr Awaludin Said and World Peace activist, Datuk Dr Ronald Stephen Mccoy will receive the Darjah Seri Setia Negri Sembilan Yang Amat Cemerlang (SSNS), which carries the title ‘Datuk Seri’.

A total of seven individuals will receive the Darjah Dato' Paduka Negri Sembilan (DPNS) which carries the title ‘Datuk’.

They are Johol state assemblyman, Abu Samah Mahat, Seremban High Court Judge, Abu Bakar Jais, State Financial Officer, Datuk Johani Hassan, Assunta Hospital Medical Consultant Dr Suresh Raj Lachmanan, businessmen Hamie Appala Nakkiah and Mohd Azzarain Abdul Aziz and a businesswoman, Lim Hoe.

Kuala Lumpur High Court Judicial Commissioner Datin Faizah Jamaludin will be the sole recipient for the Darjah Setia Tuanku Muhriz Yang Amat Gemilang (DSTM), which carries the title ‘Datuk’.

A total of 25 individuals will receive the Darjah Setia Bakti Negeri Sembilan (DBNS) which also carries the title ‘Datuk’ and among them are State Development Officer, Ali Luman; Negri Sembilan Tourism Board general manager, Baharudin Jali; Majlis Agama Islam Negri Sembilan secretary, Kamal Amran Kamarudin; Rubber Industry Smallholders Development Authority (Risda) deputy director general, Nasarudin Malek; State Police chief Datuk Noor Azam Jamaludin; Panglima 1 Briged, Brig General Reduan Omar; Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM), Prof Dr Roshada Hashim; State Indian Muslim Association chairman, Syed Mohd Ali Syed Mohamed and Jempol District officer, Zazali Salehudin.

A total of 31 individuals will receive the Darjah Setia Negri Sembilan, Darjah Tuanku Muhriz (2); Darjah Pekerti Terpilih (18); Ahli Setia Negri Sembilan (109); Setiawan Tuanku Muhriz (1); Pingat Khidmat Cemerlang Masyarakat (173); Pingat Jasa Kebaktian (291); Pingat Khidmat Lama (16) and Bentara Tuanku Muhriz (15).
