KOTA MARUDU: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak arrives here to officiate Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Bandau, the last leg of his two-day visit to Sabah.
Thousands gathered at the school vicinity to welcome Najib who was accompanied by Chief Minister Tan Sri Musa Aman, Education Minister Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid and state cabinet ministers.
SMK Bandau was established in 2000 but had shared classes at Sekolah Kebangsaan Ongkilan before moving to its own building in 2015.
Earlier at noon, Najib conducted Friday prayers at the district council mosque here upon arriving via helicopter from Nabawan district.
He had lunch with the district Barisan Nasional (BN) component leaders afterwards before he made his way to the secondary school.
