KUALA LUMPUR: Former Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) editor and radio presenter Datin Salasiah Zakaria died of cancer at Ampang Hospital this morning. She was 68.
Her eldest son, Khasnooriman Khamis, 38, said his mother was pronounced dead at 11am.
“She has been suffering from cancer for the past three years but after undergoing chemotherapy sessions, her condition improved.
“However, we were told this morning that new cancer cells have been discovered at her nose which caused breathing difficulty,” he told BH Online.
She is survived by her husband Datuk Khamis Idris, 69, and two sons including Khasnooriman and Ahmad Mohar, 35.
Khasnooriman said his mother was buried at Taman Kosas Muslim Cemetery at 6.10pm today.
