JOHOR BARU: EcoWorld Development Group Bhd (EcoWorld Malaysia) today launched its free bus services at its inaugural project, Eco Botanic in Iskandar Malaysia.
The bus services, which is fully-owned and operated by EcoWorld Malaysia, is expected to commence its operations starting this March.
EcoWorld Malaysia President and Chief Executive Officer, Datuk Chang Khim Wah, said he was pleased to offer not only products that enhanced the residents' lifestyle but also added value for customers.
He said in the early stages, the EcoWorld Bus services would traverse three main routes, namely Eco Botanic to the Gelang Patah bus stop, EduCity at Iskandar Puteri and the supermarket at Bukit Indah.
"The 30-passenger bus service will operate every day throughout the year and each vehicle will be equipped with two closed-circuit cameras and a GPS detection system.
"All residential owners at Eco Botanic can use this bus service for free, while others can use the services but they need to make a purchase at Eco Boulevard and provide the receipt," he said.
He was speaking at the launch of the EcoWorld Malaysia bus service here today, which was officiated by Iskandar Regional Development Authority (IRDA) Chief Executive, Datuk Ismail Ibrahim.
Chang said EcoWorld will extend the implementation of the bus service to another EcoWorld project in line with the company's mission to create a world-class atmosphere in all its developments.
During the event, EcoWorld also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Newcastle University Medicine Malaysia (Newcastle University) to provide quality facilities at Eco Nest Service Apartments for the university students.
