KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim will be released this Tuesday on May 15, said PKR vice-president Nurul Izzah Anwar.
Nurul Izzah, Anwar’s eldest daughter, confirmed the matter and told NSTP that he would be a free man in another three days.
When asked if Anwar would be getting a full pardon, she answered “Yes.”
Yesterday, reports of his release sent both the local and foreign media into a frenzy as hundreds made their way to the Cheras Rehabilitation Hospital, where he is currently seeking treatment.
Anwar was initially due to be released from prison in June.
