KUALA LUMPUR: A 48-year-old bus driver was injured after crashed into a fence near Genting Highlands here today.
In the 4pm incident driver, Thennarasu Muniandy, who was behind the wheels of a tour bus, sustained injuries on his legs, arms and foot.
Selangor Traffic and Investigation Department (JSPT) Chief Superintendent Azman Shari'at said the driver had lost control of the bus on his way down from Genting Highlands, which caused the crash.
"The bus straight crashed into the fence on a bridge before coming to a stop," he said when contacted.
Azman said fortunately the bus was not ferrying any passengers at the time of the incident.
"Initial investigation found that the crash occurred due to faulty brakes in the bus," he said.
