KUALA LUMPUR: Bukit Aman's Internal Security and Public Order (ISPO) department director Datuk Seri Zulkifli Abdullah is the new director-general of the National Anti-Drugs Agency (AADK), effective today.
A source said Zulkifli was appointed following the retirement of the agency's former head Datuk Dr Abd Halim Mohd Hussin.
Zulkfli has been helming the ISPO department since July 4 last year.
Previously he held several posts with the police force including as the director of the Management Department and director of the Strategic Resources and Technology Department.
He was also state police chief in Kelantan, Perak and Kuala Lumpur.
