PUTRAJAYA: Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad took some time out of his busy schedule to cycle around Putrajaya Lake here this morning.
In a video posted on Facebook, the prime minister was seen riding a tandem bicycle with another individual.
Dr Mahathir, who turns 94 this year, was accompanied by a group of other riders believed to be his officers and bodyguards.
It is understood that Dr Mahathir began cycling from the Perdana Leadership Foundation here at 7am. He spent about an hour riding around the lake.
The oldest prime minister in the world has repeatedly reminded Malaysians on the importance of being active in sports and exercise.
This is not the first time a video of the prime minister exercising went viral.
In October last year, netizens praised Dr Mahathir for walking the talk after a video of him cycling made the rounds on social media.
