KUALA LUMPUR: He is a politician and was formerly a Cabinet member, but Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan also loves to cook.
Those who follow him on Twitter would know that even before Barisan Nasional (BN) lost to Pakatan Harapan (PH), Ahmad has been sharing his kitchen adventures on social media.
That has not stopped after Ahmad found himself no longer with a Cabinet post following BN's defeat in the 14th General Election (GE14) last year.
While his recipes all this while have been rather normal, today, the Pontian MP decided to give a unique twist to his famous nasi goreng.
Previously, he courted criticism and social media love for his GST-free nasi goreng.
While admitting that many have been asking if he knows other recipes, Ahmad said today's nasi goreng is special.
"Asyik2 nasi goreng. Tak reti masak yg lain ke?
"Reti tapi ini special sbb strawberry beli di #CameronHighlands sempena pilihan raya kecil," Ahmad tweeted.
(It's always nasi goreng. Don't you know how to cook other food? I know, but this is special because the strawberries were purchased in Cameron Highlands, in conjunction with the by-election.)
He shared photos of his unique attempt and vouched that it tasted good.
